Flutter

If I could warn you of one thing,

it would be that your heart will flutter in fear and in love.

And though it is tempting to fear love,

it is far more rewarding to fall in love with fear.

Your heart will flutter,

your lips will go dry,

and your skin will pale,

but you will survive

even the most terrifying things in life.

And that is bravery, that is strength,

and that is what your heart pounds for.
